As a resident, participant or landlord participating in any of our Home Forward housing programs, you agree to receiving SMS text message from Home Forward in cases of emergencies such as building evacuations, service interruptions, natural disasters, emergency services offered, inclement weather advisories, additional services offered, and other safety/service alerts. Every new resident, participant and landlord will be notified regarding this policy in writing during their application process, with the option to opt-out.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. However, before requesting that messages to you will be stopped, please consider that the majority of our messages will announce safety concerns and/or vital services. If you want to join again, contact us at info@homeforward.org with a request to restart SMS messages to you.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at info@homeforward.org.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. The number of messages you will receive from month to month may vary depending on the number of safety issues, emergencies and services that come up. Under normal circumstances, the number should not exceed 4 messages per month. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
